Our AUSA Chapter and the Central Texas Community has much work to do. America’s military and our Army are as busy today as any time in modern history. The brave men and women of our Army continue to be asked to do more with less. Accelerating demands to respond to invasions, terrorism, civil wars, disease outbreaks and natural catastrophes, while undergoing downsizing and reorganization, is causing high levels of frustration. We know the U.S. Army is going to be smaller and look different in the not too distant future. National decision makers will continue to face tough choices in the coming years. Decisions will be made that will have an impact here at home, on our Soldiers, their Families and all of us that support the Great Place. Members of this chapter have influence and can make a difference. We are not without resources. Those come from you. We need your financial support, your physical presence and the power of your relationships at AUSA’s 2015 Annual Meeting in Washington D.C. Our job there, and elsewhere, is to let everyone know that in Central Texas, our Army, our Soldiers and their Families have found, and will always find, levels of capability and support unmatched elsewhere in America. We ask that you help us carry that message to Washington. Plan now to be a part of our team!
